Well Tina, it was a case of having to stand in the longest DMV line of
my life when I moved to Reno, NV. I took one of my horse magazines in
to pass the time and the lady behind me noticed that I was reading about
endurance riding and we struck up a conversation. I told her I'd been
wanting to try it since I rode all over the countryside anyway. It
sounded like fun! She told me she rode with the Nevada All-State Trail
Riders and would I like to go out on one of their training rides in
Lemmon Valley? My first ride was a month later and we had a great time,
finishing well back and in good shape. I was able to do rides for a
couple years until family obligations took most of my income and I could
no longer participate. I'm just getting back on my feet and should be
able to do a few rides this year. Yea!! ~Nikki~
