There's nothing like a good horse that hangs around when you part
company!! There's an article in this month's "Horse Illustrated" about
falling off and the best way to do it. I realized after reading it,
that I most often use that technique and DO land on my feet. I don't,
however, agree with the part where they tell you to let go of the
reins. If I can hold onto my horse even if it means being dragged for a
few feet, I'll do it! Even a momentary hold on the reins and a hearty
WHOA! as you spiral earthbound is enough to make some horses decide to
hang around.
The posts may sound like I fall off enough to write a thesis on the
subject! Well, now I'm working on my Master's in staying on, and have
been keeping a 4.0 grade average this past year!! ~Nikki~
