Falling off

Don't feel bad Jacqueline. I lived my worst fear today which is
having my horse fall when I'm on his back. This has NEVER happened
to me before. I've been bucked off etc. but never from my horse
falling.

For some reason he was full of p and v (maybe because it was the
first time the sun has been out in weeks and he forgot what it looked
like) and spooked when I tried to take him past a wagon. I suspected
he wasn't really scared but just wanted to kick up his heels. I
decided to take him (at a walk) in big circles to relax him and he
must have hit a patch of ice. The next thing I knew I was on the
ground (my reflexes weren't as good as yours). The stable owner was
there when this happened and she said "been there - done that". I
didn't even know what happened until she told me Cedar fell. He
seemed ok so I lunged him a little just to make sure. He's fine but
it was pretty upsetting. My left side is a little sore and hopefully
Cedar will feel better than I do tomorrow.
