Teddy, unfortunately, due to some strange quirk, for a reason only known to
Ford, the tow capacity for the automatic is about 700 lbs higher than the
manual.

May be true..but 700 lbs. sin't much. I like having the control of my gears
in mud, cie and snow, especially if I don't have 4WD.
