I have had similar results with corn or pelleted feed. I have decided that
some horses just react that way..I don't DARE ride my stallion after he's
eaten...I feed once a day..evenings, so I don't have to worry, but he simply
gets too hyper with grain. The rare times he is stalled (usually out on 6
acres of hills) he would probably kill me and destroy the stall if I gave him
ANY grain. I feed free choice alfalfa and lousy pasture with plenty of water
and grain only the horses I work hard.
