Tom:

My shoer's name is Keith Swain. We live in Arlington, Washington (that's
the state!). Keith is the best farrier in Snohomish County. He was shoeing
at Longacres before it closed down. Interestingly enough the "old style"
thoroughbred shoers - the long toe, no heel guys - won out as the standard
of the industry, so Keith has left the racing circuit behind. The closest
race tracks now are Yakima Meadows in Eastern Washington and Portland Meadows
in Oregon. Keith is very popular among show people, gamers, ropers, endurance,
and competitive trail riders. Great guy too.
