You bet ,TROT those hills AFTER you WALK them ..TROT strong is better then
letting them run or *lounge* up a hill, really will get the ole HR up I can
get Fasha well over 200 at a good trot (7min mile) up a steep hill. Easier
then RUNNING full out on the flat.
We DO train at runs BUT SHORT distance ie 1/2 mile to 1 mile..interval stuff.

We TROT HARD on the *little * hills we have here in SE TENN MTNS
Like 2 mile plus @ 6 % grade or more.. thats just out the back door..
They want to run but the trot keeps them hard.
