I'm finally back, our son crashed our computer and had to get it fixed.
Had time to think up a list of questions. First I wanted to let those know
how my loin rubbing problem with my orthoflex turned out. Using a pad under
the booties solved the loin rubbing 100% but I still get wrinkling or
waviness at the withers. I tried shimming every which way;any suggestions
there? Also my horse has a left shoulder larger than the right, I try using
both diagnols equally. He prefers the left lead. Should I longe him going to
the right more? When I'm on the right diagnol which shoulder is working the
hardest? Also when a horse is left handed, does that mean he leads with the
left front or is pushing off with the left hind, leading with the right front?
As a result of the uneven shoulders my saddle keeps slipping to the right, my
stirrups are even. I'd appreciate any help on this. p.s. I love the ride
stories as long as they are not too long. Laughed and cried reading some of
them. any more on the reasons for horses lowering their heads on rides..? my
horse also does the same...are they tired or sore and if sore where at?
Glad to be back, just finished the NASTR ride in Reno, it was a
scorcher at 92 degrees, took it slow. Linda and El Sareei from Reno.
