I just tried out a friends Boz saddle myself a week ago and the same
thing happened to my horse. She came up short on her left front leg
(a leg I've currently had problems with), I went home nearly in
tears thinking it was starting all over again. The next day I
decided to put her in my saddle and see what happened and she was
fine. I understand Boz makes different thickness' of padding, but I
don't think that will help in a shoulder issue - it's a good saddle,
it just didn't work for us.

I too am struggling to find a saddle - my mare seems to be
impossible to fit. I haven't tried a sports saddle yet (I was
hoping they would be at the convention). My concern about the sport
saddle is that I too spend a lot of time sitting in the saddle,
currently. I'm not a heavy weight rider, but this still concerns
me.

Good luck, and if any of you discover some more valuable information
please send it my way.
