I have done several NATRC rides around Lancaster and on to Edwards Air
Force Base. The area is sandy unless you are on a dirt road. It can
get very cold at night (our rides were in February). Unless you go
up on the mesas, is it mostly flat with slight rises and falls.
There are some climbs but not very long or very many.
