Hi- This is my opinion only!! Conformation analysis is something that does
take some knowledge to do effectively- meaning seeing what the horse's
possible strengths and weaknesses are as they apply to certain activities.
But- I know there are lots of folks out there who have years of experience
watching horses move, analysing conformation and how it affects the way
a horse performs , anaylsing why a horse is using himself in a certain way,
etc. THese people can make a pretty good judgement for themselves about the
suitablility of a horse's conformation for the job they have in mind.
In addition- remember Seattle Slew- a clubfooted colt who sold for only $17000
becuase of that flaw- and look at what he did!!! You can't discount
attitude and heart when it comes to evaluating a horse's ability to
do a job. -Amy
