IMHO, electric fences aren't the problem. Improper use of electric fence=
s (e.g.,
failure to properly train horses at home before using them on rides) is =
the
problem.

I once had a horse that would break out of pipe corrals, but never broke =
out of
an electric fence.

A more proper question in this case might be, why wasn't a cattleguard =
at an
endurance camp blocked to prevent horses unfamiliar with the grounds from=

running into it?
