"Ideally" you are correct, Kristene.  The hoof and pastern angle should be
the same as the angle of the shoulder.  How many of us have the "ideal"
horse?  LOL  :)  However, what is "ideal" isn't always what is "real" so
tweaking may be necessary.  :)
