Just for interest sake I looked at the database for a few random picks. In the CT in 2001 the number 1 and 7 went to HW, but in 2000 there were no HW's in the top 10. In the West in 2001 there were no HW's in the top 10 and in the SE in 2001 there were no HW's in the top 10. So one great horse does not a "law make."  We may underestiamte how much our horses carry but we can calculate how much more work it takes to carry more weight.

It does make you wonder though, how many HWs are there in numbers in comparison to LW or MW? Is it not one of the smaller groups in comparison? As I said in the Central Region HW have done very well, do we under estimate our horses and what they can do or what they can carry?
