Re: [RC] Multi-day Horses - Trailrite

Anyone riding a lighter boned high mileage multi-day horse?

Yeah, my mare TR Katie Bar The Door...3958 miles.  Most are multidays.  She's still busy with her twins right now.  Another horse I'm riding TR Sharkee, has small bone, but he's small...under 800 lbs.
Katie would still be going, and still might, but she had a bad accident happen in her stall over 1 1/2 years ago when our neighbors hired a well digger and spooked Katie into the rails for over 2 hours while we were gone.  We still don't know why she acts stiff or comes up lame after 25 - 30 miles.  But as soon as she weans these kids of her's she going back up to Alamo with Dr. Rick (which can't find the reason even with blocking) and he's going to have her radio grafted, or what we call glow in the dark x-rays.  Wish her and us luck on this one...she's always been my best trail partner...  Even with having med. size bone.
