Re: [RC] Multi-day Horses - SandyDSA
Yeah - jumpers are realyl prone to it partly because over the last 2 decades Americans have bred bgi and pretty to big and rpetty - with little regard to form to function. After watching a long-lower-limbed horse over fences on TV this morning, I just heaved a sighand turned it off. NO ONE and I MEAN NO ONE - who KNOWS horse conformation should EVER have selected that hip-high rascal for anything athletic - but someone did. It was ghastly watching that poor guy try to flip flop over those fences, bucking and swapping leads after EVERY ELEMENT. Stands to reason that a group of riders who can't choose well with what they CAN see will nto choose well with what they CAN'T see. Sesamoid and coffin fractures, etc. OUCH!
