    The midwest skews your results.  LD's are new to the midwest.  Before we had LD's it was either endurance or CTR.  LD's have partly grown at the expense of CTR rides.  Remember, the Midwest has always offered both Endurance and CTR on the same venue.
     
    There is one LD in MN that is not AERC sanctioned because it does not have an accompanying endurance.  The ride is the Frostbite Fiasco.  It is held the lase Sat. in October.  It has traditionally offered only a CTR.  The reason is that the weather is very iffy so most people just want to haul in in the morning ride and go home.
