I am coming into this discussion a little late but my question is if pull codes are listed for compiling data only why do they need to be published next to the names of individuals with results? Why not post individual names as pulls without a code and then list the number of pulls for lameness, metabolics, & RO anonymously below the results?  Does it really matter who was pulled or does it matter how many & why the horses did not complete at a ride? I think riders who use RO might be more honest about the reason they are pulling if they knew the results were to be used as research information only.  The way the pull codes are published & used now RO seems to have a less negitive connotation than lame or metabolic - of course riders will try to skew the codes to put themselves in a positive light.
