[RC] contract for selling a horse - Scott & Dede Johnson

Does anybody have (already written) some sort of contract for selling a
horse? I would imagine that a prospective buyer would want to vet check the
horse. I am looking for something that says the prospective buyer is
responsible for the horse while in possession.

How does one deal with this if the buyer is not from the immediate area and
wants to take the horse "home" for a pre-purchase exam? Is it acceptable to
ask for the full purchase price to hold while the horse is being vetted?
This of course would be returned if the horse did not vet successfully.

I welcome any pointer from folks who have sold horses before. Thanks!

    Dede
