Everyone I knew was horrified... with ME!!! They
said I never should have stuck my nose into it, I was going to be blacklisted, I
would never be able to go to a show again, yada, yada. I was totally disgusted
and decided that trail riding held far more interest for me.

Bonnie, you did the right thing.
That's all you can do. Don't ever be embarrassed by other people's ignorance.
You didn't do it for them, you did it for the horse.
I hope if you are ever in situation
like that again, you don't hesitate to take action. It is not for the humans,
they can take care of themselves. It is for the horses, dogs, children ,
elderly, who ever can't speak up for themselves.
