Re: [RC] "...raised with my parents doing endurance rides..." - Ridecamp Guest

Whenever I read on ridecamp about anyone doing endurance
with their kids, I am deeply touched, and green with envy.
My parents were wonderfully supportive of my riding: paid for lessons, drove me to them, built me a barn, bought me horses,
so I can't complain on that account, but riding was very much
'my thing': they had no interest in it themselves. I would
have loved to have ridden with them, had someone who knew
more than I did to provide guidence and encouragement.
And now I am in the same situation again, but with my husband.
He tolerates 'the horse thing' but has no interest. I am trying desparately to find some way to get him into it! He is an absolute softy when it comes to animals, can't stand to see one suffer. May have to go to an auction and rescue one, so he can fall in pity, then love, with it. ;-)
Cherish every moment with you loved ones,
especially those spent on the trail!
