A good way to prepare for trailer loading is to practice on the ground
nowhere near a trailer. I have used Parelli Natural Horsemanship groundwork
techniques especially the "squeeze" game, sending the horse between you and a
fence, each time closer; sending the horse through narrow gates, backing the
horse through gates. Get the horse used to going where you send him on line
before trying to load in a trailer. Parelli has good videos including a
trailer loading video.
