Re: [RC] White Hairs... PLEASE HELP! - Ed and Wendy Hauser
White hairs do not show up until the hair starts to grow. During the summer
very little growth is going on. Now the summer hair is starting to shed,
and winter come in. The white hairs can be from dammage anytime from June
on. I would ride him hard (long), strip the saddle with him hot and look
for dry spots. If any dry spots are the same place as the white hairs, the
present saddle is to blame. Watch the back for an hour after unsaddling.
If any tender, or puffy or squishy spots show up the present saddle is
causing problems.
Saddle fit takes lots of observation and thought.
