RE: [RC] finish line, ride time - John A. Teeter

for endurance rides, the ride time clock stops when you finish the course.
for LDs, the ride time clock stops when you meet the post ride criteria. In
both cases, completion is when you have passed the post finish line vet
    check.

I think that's the way it works. were you doing the LD or endurance??

We then read the key definitions of Rule 6.2.1: "....the post-finish line
vet check is where the final criteria for completion must be met; ***an
equine has not completed the ride until he has passed this check***. The
post-finish line vet check also serves as a safety check..........**as well
as extending veterinary control over the last leg of the ride.**"

so when does the ride time clock stop. I finished a ride. My horse was
tired. His pulse droped to 67 quickly, but hung there for 20 min. 3 other
riders finished after me, but passed vet check before my horse came down.
When the ride results came out these other people were listed as finishing
    before me.

No big deal, I just want to understand. This was also a ride where we were
told that you needed to meet criteria within 30 min of the finish. What is
    the correct rule?
