    Turn, Turn, Turn.  Circle, Circle, Circle.  Teach them that you can stop the forward motion by a simple circle. They must know how to bend and be supple to the bit. Any bit.  Running martigales for long term use end up making the horse lean on it thus possibly damaging his bars, which is what I had done to my Arab.  My two cents. Beccy in Roy Ut.
