[RC] Super-sensitive, young horse - Shayne Smith

My gelding had the same problem. My solution was to start him in dressage
lessons. This taught him that it is okay to have pressure on the bit and my
    leg on him.

It took us quite awhile, but now (after a winter's work) he's wonderful out
on trail. I can even ask for speed changes without putting my heels into
him or pulling on the reins.

    Good luck.
