If your "sole paint" is the same as the sole paint the vets here sell, its got formaldehyde in it (mixed with iodine). I just thought I'd pass that along because it doesn't make much sense to me, to be putting that stuff on your horses' feet, and then leaving them sealed up in easyboots for several days at a time. I would imagine that plain old iodine would better.

My horses' feet stink when I take the boots off after
several days. Of course, MY feet stink too after just
a day (personal issues, I know). I'd suggest foaming
them on to keep excessive moisture and rocks out. I'd
first spray his feet with a sole paint to keep thrush
at bay and let that dry. Then I foam the boots on and
    change them every week.
