I have the same thing everytime I color my gray hair, my horse has a white patch on the side of his withers from a poorly fitting Wintec, so I use the extra hair color to cover it as it bothers me so much to see those white hairs. I have been doing this for some time and does not seem to be a problem, except that he has a little more red highlights than I do and the color match is not perfect, still better than white.
