I had a similar fall from my horse in March and landed on my fanny pack
with a cell phone inside.  My injury was so severe that the Dr. said
it would take a YEAR for my recovery.  He also told me that I was
extremely lucky because he has another patient who had a similar injury
as mine (and yours) who will now be facing life with urinary and bowel
incontinence as a result!  I pass this info on to warn riders not to
carry anything hard on their backs.
