    This also reminds me...
        Tek also taught us to defend ourselves while on our horses, using the
    horses body to break holds that someone might have on us.  Basically... If
    someone has hold of your leg, bend it at the knee (backwards) and use your
    horses REAR to swing into the person.  And if someone grabs you by the arm
    use the horses HEAD to swing into the person.   If someone should grab your
    reins or headstall, don't pull backwards... but barge straight ahead into
    the person.   He was saying that anymore you don't know who you'll run into
    while your out riding (especially women out by themselves like we are), and
    if you stop to talk (say they ask you a question about trail) to one person
    always watch out for a second person on the other side.  These are things
    that I had never thought about but now I think I'd be much faster to react
    if it should happen.
