[RC] Kind of ot/Riding while pregnant - Margie Palmateer
Hi,
I realize that this is one of those check with your dr.things(which I have)
but I am wondering how people deal with being pregnant and having horses
that are used to being ridden. I am still in the first trimester, and ride
4-5x weekly. I have five horses, but only two that are in real work. So,
how long to continue riding safely? How do you deal with the chores that go
along with horses? Any tips/pointers/sanity savers for when I have to be on
the ground? How long did you wait to get back on? How do you deal with
things like fly spray,etc? My husband does not ride, but is very good about
helping with them-and getting much more comfortable, since he will be
caretaker in the winter when I am too big to trek through the snow! Thanks
for your help and your opinions.
