   Hi Stephanie,
                Yes the have  Micro Chips that go in both dogs & horses. I
really do not think a GPS system would pick
them up. Though I do not know this for fact. I live in FL.
 & my dogs already have there chips, My horse Vet. puts them in for $25.00.
I am thinking of getting one here just incase a Hurricane would come, as we
are suppose to turn our horses out, (this was learned from Hurricane Andrew)
& a lot of horses were taken from their rightful owners as they had no means
of identification. The chips being put in seem to be painless. But if they
could be tracked in anyway other then a Vet. checking for them
in a animal, I think everyone would have them in their
animals. With the low cost of them.
