    [RC] LDSA - Howard Bramhall

Great idea there.  While we're at it, let's create a separate organization for 100 milers, since they're always waking me up way too early when they saddle up for their 4AM start time. They could call themselves the Endless Distance Sanctioning Association (EDSA). That's a terrific idea.

Gee, if we work really hard at it we could get AERC down to just a couple thousand members, we really have too many as it is.  Thin out the membership, reduce the awards, lower the number of Board members, eventually we can get rid of the annual AERC meeting altogether.   And, if we work really hard at it, we could break AERC down to just local clubs out for a ride.  Yea, that's the ticket!

    cya,
Howard  (you really don't want to lower the membership, which will increase our dues, do you?)

OK, so why doesn't somebody or some group come up with a new, parrallel
organization, The Limited Distance Sanctioning Association? All the work
has been done corporation wise, just mirror the AERC. They can have
their own board, mem bership, races (or rides) and awards structure.
Even money if they want. They could use the same ride trails in most
cases (on the next day, or would using the AERC course backwards after
the AERC ride was done provide a loophole in AERC ride sanctioning
    rules?)

    Anyway, food for thought.

    Steve Shaw
