[RC] water for horse camping - Arthur King

I got a 40 or 50 gal. drum with a screw on top that I fill from home & take. It's enough for drinking & sponging. Before that I put trash can liners in 5 gal. buckets, filled them with water then used twisty tie. Had to double tie as the movement of the water sometimes loosened them. Your horse will probably lie down, most do with ease. Just remember to have the tie rope snap barely to the ground so your horse won't get a leg over it. Bedding isn't necessary but if I'm in a rocky area, I'll spread some hay for a cushion. It's easier to clean up than shavings. Have fun. Leigh
