    I think it it's your *only* horse, a horse that you conditioned yourself
    you feel the consequences more.  At the very least, you have to pay for
    another and wait for it to be ready to race...*but* if you've got a groom
    standing there with another one already saddled, and people all over the
    place conditioning *that* one's replacements.... I'll say it again just
    to aggravate them. The Olympic committee isn't going to want to defend
    that. Far easier to just sigh, say "this looks like a PR disaster" and
    walk away.
