    There are crystals in the neck coolers that form a gel when they get wet.  I have even put them on my grandchildren & have not had anyone had a problem from them.  I believe them to be non-toxic.  I also have several different designs in red, white & blue.

    Pat, do these things have a chemical in them?  I seem to remember a friend had some type of a neck cooler (don't know where she got it) and it had a chemical and ended up hurting her eyes.  She was sweating and touched it and then rubbed her eyes.  I could really use something to help me with the TX heat.
