Re: [RC] LD again - LSimoni197

There is another group of LD riders which this discussion is not addressing.  It is the older or injured rider.
I no longer wish to ride a 50 distance because I hurt too much after the ride.
I have several endurance horses who are in their prime.  I am so glad there is a 25 mile distance so that I can still participate in the sport I love.
On a good day, I enjoy riding my horse to the best of his and my ability.  Should I be criticized because we had a good ride?  I am supporting the ride with my money, my horse had an easy day, what ever the speed I ride, he is ready and in condition, and I know how to ride him to the best of his ability without over using him at either distance.
My point is, all LD riders are not new to the sport.
