Re: [RC] LD again - LSimoni197

There is another group of us LD riders which is not addressed in most of these posts.
I am an older rider and I hurt too much when I ride 50 miles.  I am very thankful that there is a 25 mile distance so that I can still ride endurance.
Now I have some younger horses who have done 50 mile rides, and are 10 years old.  These horses can very safely travel a fast 25 mile course or 50 mile course, it is I who cannot hold myself together for the longer distances.  I believe I am not unique, there are others like myself who are older endurance riders who might wish to still have some challenging rides to look forward to, but at the 25 mile distance.
Where do we fit into the LD picture?  On a day when I feel good, I want to ride my horse in a competitive manner
