I could list a zillion reasons why my riders leave early, and that is fine.
Thank you for expressing this thought, Louise...There are many legitimate
reason for people to leave early; people have demanding careers, husbands,
babies at home, animals at home, other committments, health problems..the
list goes on. Next, I suppose the critics will say, well, if you're that
busy, you shouldn't be doing this sport. Baloney. Be darned if I will quit
the sport just because every once in a while I need to leave on Sat
evening!!! And for people to post judgemental criticisms on ride camp about
everyone is sad. I really cringe when I see the letters (usually from a
small group of people and always the same ones) that use terms like
"stupid", "idiotic", "ricky racers", etc as they are sterotyping and
painting everyone but themselves with a nasty paintbrush. It seems to me
that this is particularly done when the writer doesn't even know the details
of the situation or circumstances - they've just "heard" something.
