Ridecamp: [RC] Camp Far West

    I just wanted to thank ride managers Tom and Nadine and all their
fabulous volunteers who made the ride possible.  It was a beautiful ride,
not too hilly- perfect for those of us who are just starting our ride
season!  I don't know names, but several people were also mentioned for
their efforts in keeping this ride where it is, as it was threatened due to
some environmental issues.  I too thank these folks!
    LD riders were given their awards as they finished- very nice royal blue
sweatshirts. Top awards for the 50 were given after dinner, which was
delicious as always, served up by Carlos, Sherry, and crew.  There were very
nice lunch bags and cooler bags given to top finishers in each weight
division.  Too bad a lot of the riders had already gone home.  I personally
enjoy the post-ride time- visiting, eating, clapping for the winners.
    I completed my first ride in my new Free N' Easy saddle and it was
great!  An adjustable saddle is excellent for a horse like mine that has
uneven shoulders.
    Thanks again to all the folks that made the ride possible and all the
friendly riders that attended this ride.  It made for a very enjoyable
weekend!!
