Please, please, please don't attach yourself to your dog and ride your horse.

Even if you think you can let go in time, you'd be amazed how quick the three of you can be lashed together.

And the resulting wreck will make the papers.

If you're going to take your dog along, train him to run along side, train him to down-stay under every circumstance and make sure the local ordinances don't object.
