REALLY Long & Slow Distance

Rode yesterday moving 150 heifers to their pasture closer to the house for calving this March...Took us 5 1/2 hours to move them 12 miles.  Now that's LONG-SLOW Distance conditioning.  Temps when we started were around 15-20...finished around 30...with a gentle breeze of about 15 mph all day...UGH...really looked forward to the cup of hot chocolate and a hot fire....We've always said that we physically hurt more working cows then we do when we ride 50 miles at a good clip...I can attest to that today...a wee bit sore...
