Tucker-choice of riggings

Ray O'Donohue rno2m@virginia.edu
Take this with a grain of salt, for I am a fanatic on this
subject:every rigging Tucker (and everyone else)makes, with the (possible)
exception of the "english" will interfere with your legs/and or stirrup
leathers/may sore your horse, and will spread your legs an extra inch or
more on each side.Get the "english" rigging, use a short enough girth to
position the buckles way down the horse's sides, and cut off and discard
most of the wool felt Tucker seems to think serves some purpose under the
sides of the saddle.
