Hello, i have been fortunate to have had a # of good dogs and most of them were purebreed crosses. Gandolph was a Great Dane/Black Lab that went as far as 40 miles with me on 1 training ride. A small book could have been written about his exploits. The one i will share is when he was into the tire biteing mentality and he bit the tire of my 62 chevy p/u w/o shocks and the tire rolled over his head. I heard the bump and stopped and saw Gandolf shaking his head with the hair on the top missing. He came up with an ear infection that was soon cleared up and he never bit another tire. Redd Dawg was a Great Dane/Ridgeback cross and was the most loving. He and i could sing together for hours. He loved to go out with the horses and went as far as 30 miles as we traveled but with his running arround who knew how far he went. Abby the Afghan Purebred died of cancer at 4yo leaving behind a daughter i kept that is Afghan/Golden Retreiver. She is still into the learning/adventure process. My experience has been that Part Bred Dogs have been better to me than the Pure Breeds and much more fun.... tom sites
