If you buy a purebred, get it from reputable breeder and expect to PAY for 
the dog.  On Dalmations: I have a girl friend who has two.  Both are 
wonderful.  One is very intelligent, the other painfully dumb, but are both 
excellent dogs.  I hate to see a breed bashed for any reason.  I have a dog 
that is very shy and can be agressive, and you'll all probably say it's 
because he has Pitbull in him (the other half is Beagle), but it has more to 
do with his abusive upbringing (we adopted him at age 5) than his breed.  
There are wonderful Rotweillers and terrible Labs, so I think you need to be 
careful before bashing a breed.
