There are now two levels of seminars.


Basic Strasser Hoofcare Seminar         3 days
       2 days Theory ­ attendance limited by room size
       1 day introduction to trimming practice ­ 20 people max

Advanced Trimming Seminar        2 days
       Basic trimming of cadaver hooves ­ specific questions encouraged
       limit 15-20 people

About our instructors
Sabine Kells, Todd Merrell, and Peter Speckmaier  are three of the four
people worldwide that Dr. Strasser has certified to instruct her methods.

All three are Strasser Certified Hoofcare Specialists and have been
handpicked by Dr. Strasser  for their talents with the  application of her
method, their abilities to instruct others and their continuing work in
the Strasser Hoofcare method. All of our instructors continue to work with
Dr. Strasser on a regular basis.

Sabine Kells is the first North American Certified Strasser  Hoofcare
Specialist, a graduate of the European School for Hoof Orthopedics in
Tubingen, Germany. She has facilitated the introduction of the Strasser
Hoofcare method to North America with her translations of 'A Lifetime of
Soundness' and 'Shoeing - A Necessary Evil?' and her hoofcare seminars.
Sabine resides in British Columbia, Canada, where she co-instructs the
International Strasser Hoofcare Specialist Program. She has also just
finished compiling the 800 page "Hoofcare Specialists Handbook" which is
the definitive Strasser method handbook.

Todd Merrell is working directly with Dr. Strasser on her video and DVD
training programs and heads Dr, Strasser's North American operations. He
works daily with the Strasser method at his Langley, BC location and has
the first rubber floor set-up in North America which he is using for  case
studies for the Strasser series of videos.  All current Strasser hoofcare
students have the benefit of access to this facility and Todd Merrell for
training and mentorship  which is offered as part of the Strasser Hoofcare
Specialist training program in North America.

Peter Speckmaier has an active roll in the training and instruction of
hoofcare students and has recently developed the instructors CD ROM for
use in the Strasser Seminars. Peter is a sport horse rider who is also one
of few people worldwide certified by Rolf Becker to teach the Chiron
method.

Chiron is the Caprilli based school of equitation developed by Rolf Becker
of Germany.  Dr. Strasser supports this method because it teaches the
proper natural seat for jumping, encouraging a perfect harmony between
horse and rider. This method  emphasizes a seat that encourages freedom of
movement for the horse, proper weight distribution and safe position for
horse and rider, minimizing the chance of injury and maximizing
performance.

Our instructors knowledge and experience applying and teaching the
Strasser Method make these seminars rewarding, informative and life
changing, for both horses and their owners.
