CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON (in Denver)

MRER mrerendur@yahoo.com
The Mountain Region Endurance Rider's convention, to be held in at the
Centennial Airport Holiday Inn, S. Denver on Feb. 17th, will be featuring
a T'ai Chi for Horsemen class taught by Sara and Micheal Stenson of
Ft. Collins, CO. They use this martial art form as a way of improving
a rider's balance and coordination. According to the Stenson's "Timing,
balance and feel are essential for great horsemanship. Quality horsemanship
and T'ai Chi work on many of the same principles and abilities. T'ai Chi
practitioners develop a keen sense of timing, balance, suppleness, strngth and
sensitivity through the study of slow, rhythmic exercises. T'ai Chi for the
rider is a series of simple yet profound movements designed specifically to
enhance riding skills-ground work for the rider."
Though they might not teach us to how to fly, the Stenson's will be leading us
through a 90 minute session of T'ai Chi exercises. Should be fun! For more
information, please email MRERENDUR@yahoo.com.
