Cavalry training Was officially disbanded in the 40's for regular Army Troops.  however, Special Forces Groups still receive cavalry and pack training. Special Marine Units also have a paack and cavalry training.  In addition there are several Ceramonial cav units throughout the Army Bases.  One of My friends From Ft. Huachuca helped write the training Manual.

Would be interested to find if our government adds calvary training to
