Another idiosyncrasy

I just noticed something in the last few nights which my endurance mare does
when in her stable( I am currently sleeping in the stable waiting for her to
foal!!) She has a rubber rectangular food bucket that is on the floor in the
stable, and when she has finished her food she carefully places both back
feet in the bin and proceeds to shuffle backwards while in the bin!! Makes a
major racket doing that , so now the bin has been confiscated while I am
there!! I was telling my friend about it , and she says her one mare also
does it(also an ex endurance mare)! Very strange behaviour....Both are
registered Arabs , mine 9 years and the other 16.
