This is what works really well for me and the cinchy mare. I saddle up and
girth loosely. I walk her off my property and start up the trail, after
about a block, I tighten her up again, and do this about two or three times.
By the time it's tight, we are both limbered up and ready to ride. I do it
on the way home as well. When I get home the horse is already cooled out and
I have had a chance to stretch my legs and feel so much better.
